AI Assistants in Databases Available at VŠE
Artificial intelligence tools are gradually being integrated into some of the licensed databases available at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE). These AI assistants are not a substitute for independent academic work with sources, but they can help users navigate texts, data and statistics more efficiently and speed up the initial stage of research.
- The Statista platform offers the Research AI tool, which summarizes statistical data and allows users to ask follow-up questions about the meaning, context, or interpretation of the data.
- On the VitalSource platform, where some of our e-books are available, the AI feature Ask Your Book (beta version) allows users to work with book content through interactive queries.
- ProQuest Research Assistant is activated after opening a specific document and provides autmatic text summaries, an overview of key ideas, and the option to ask follow-up questions directly related to the content.
AI assistants in databases represent another step in the development of academic information resources. However, as with other language models, occasional inaccuracies or variations in output quality may occur.
