Citation checklist
Before you start writing your paper, make sure you know:
- APA 7 style rules and what other specific citation requirements your faculty (department) and supervisor have.
- Citation ethic. When and what to cite
- How to use citation management tools and their extensions.
Before submitting your paper, ensure that:
- You have cited consistently throughout the entire work.
- You have less than 10% of (verbatim) quotations.
- All in-text citations are linked to the references (ensure you are not missing any sources in your references).
- The entries in your reference are formatted correctly (even entries generated by citation software need to be checked – they are likely correct for common documents, but unusual documents may require some adjustment).
