Using Data from Paid Databases in Your Seminar or Thesis

You may download files and datasets for your personal use, subject to the following licensing conditions:

  • You may store them on your devices for personal use.
  • As part of your academic duties, you may share them with your lecturer, thesis supervisor, reviewer, or members of the examination board (however, they are not permitted to distribute them further).
  • You must not share them with third parties who are not directly involved in fulfilling your academic requirements.
  • You must not distribute them for financial gain.

When using such data in your bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral theses (which are publicly accessible), consult your supervisor regarding what data and to what extent you are permitted to disclose.
